Rich browned butter ice cream and salty, crunchy almonds. Familiar and delicious.

A few years ago, the holidays were approaching and I was talking with a friend in Columbus from Norway. She almost teared up with joy when she was telling me about krokan (caramelized sugar with butter and almonds), a prevalent Scandinavian dessert and dessert ingredient said to have been the favorite dessert of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory author Roald Dahl.  People loved our krokan-inspired ice cream so much that Brown Butter Almond Brittle moved quickly from Seasonal to Signature Flavor status.
